Bureau of Land Management
LSD is providing a critical suite of visual resource management (VRM) support services for the BLM Washington Office (national) and for BLM state and field offices. Under this five-year blanket purchase agreement, LSD’s on-call services are also available to other Department of the Interior (DOI) agencies. Our technical specialists, who are well versed in BLM’s inventory standards and processes, will provide visual resources inventory (VRI) and GIS support to help BLM generate new baseline data, as well as update existing data, in order to establish and help manage a comprehensive VRI geodatabase for all BLM-administered public land and, in turn, a nationally consistent dataset for the BLM’s VRM program. This contract also encompasses training and research services. Drawing on in-depth VRM program knowledge and prior training experience, LSD’s technical specialists will develop and lead VRM training sessions for BLM and other DOI agency staff, as requested. Our team includes several well-known visual resources scholars who are able to conduct a range of studies in support of research and program development needs.
