Wherever people live together, the facilities that are behind the scenes—for water and wastewater facilities, utilities, drainage and flood control and waste management—are critically important. Through services like landscape and irrigation design, native plant inventories and revegetation, visual resources, and bridge and structure aesthetics, LSD’s landscape architects help beautify these types of facilities—or at least help them fit into their surroundings. Other services we provide, like erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), help lessen the impact infrastructure has on the environment. We also help project owners understand public opinion so projects can be designed and constructed according to citizens’ desires.
