Senior Biologist

Richard RemingtonRichard is a wildlife biologist who worked for 28 years with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, retiring in 2003 as the regional supervisor for Northeastern Arizona. He has served as the primary liaison and representative for department programs within northeastern Arizona, and coordinated state wildlife management programs on lands comprised of multiple ownerships and jurisdictions. Administering these wildlife programs involved extensive interagency coordination to assure compliance with state and federal laws, policies, rules, and regulations with staffs from various governmental agencies. Implementing the State of Arizona’s wildlife manager programs required close coordination with federal, state, county and municipal governments; non-governmental and special-interest organizations; single-species interest groups; and tribal governments, including those of the White Mountain Apache, Zuni, Hopi, and Navajo.
