Kathryn Leonard, M.A., RPA
Director of Cultural Resources (Tempe)
Kathryn has more than 15 years of experience in archaeology and history in the public and private sectors. Kathryn has effectively managed the NHPA Section 106 process and provided key cultural resources support for EIS on multi-state energy projects, with an emphasis on meeting aggressive project schedules. She has served as an NRHP coordinator for the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office, where her duties included providing technical guidance on matters pertaining to NRHP eligibility and treatment to certified local governments, state and federal agencies, and tribes. Kathryn has also worked as a field archaeologist in both contract and academic settings, supervising data recovery projects in a variety of geographic regions. Her expertise on NRHP eligibility, historic preservation, and tribal consultation provides LSD with critical support for our transportation and energy-related projects.
